Pirates

OK...
someone help me out please...

Pirate Weekend
10/11 August
Venue - Stone Point
Normal procedure -

Arrive off Stone Point and drop hook, when he hits the bottom follow with anchor deployment
Hoist the Jolly Roger
Arm all weaponry and stand by to fire spud and water cannon at other vessels doing likewise
Fire and be fired upon
Slip tender loaded with supplies for battle ashore (include food/drink/wood)
Approach beach with crew and stand by for a jolly good time fighting/feasting/drinking/merry making
Enjoy time ashore with like minded folk and light fire towards evening (don't forget wood, lots of wood)
At the end of the evening return to pirate vessel

Following morning go ashore to clear area of debris (fire lit below water line so normally clears overnight)
Depart to reality at leisure

Normally a damn fine weekend, pray for good weather and don't forget the wood, lots of wood
No rules apply, no formal invite required, just turn up and look daft
Don't forget, wood, lots of wood, without which, no bonfire, and no bonfire means no end
Dress appropriate to theme, others do, so nobody looks dafter than anyone else

Aaarrrrr

Marmalade should be there although the little pirates aren't little now and have jobs so it'll just be the two of us I suspect although there may be a stowaway I'll stop rambling now.

Where is Stone Point?
I have tried to google it and get lost of restaurants.... The alternative is looking at every possible anchorage on the East Coast to fine which one marked as Stone Point..

Go to Stone Point thread on this sub-forum & all will be revealed.

we could have been there this year but the dear lady wife has "PLANS" so we'll be where ChattingLil is (if all goes to plan as per the plans the dlw has!)

Sorry, cant't make it - too difficult logistically to bring the mini-pirates all the way!

Have a super time - weather forecast looks ideal!

That's a pity. When we had similar issues we picked up at Shotley. Could that work for you?

They are staying with us at present, so we would have to desert them for a day to sail up to Shotley/Walton, and we don't have enough accommodation on the boat for the kids and parents. The boys are 4-year old, hyperactive twins, and a 6 hour sail would be too much for them, and us! We'll work out how to do it another year.

That would have been so much fun!... Never mind.... Maybe another year
