Pirates in Cleeve reach

Just a note of caution for peeps in Cleeve reach. We had an attempted break in on Friday night and it appears we are not alone. Several boats in the Cleeve / Moulsford area have been damaged during the last 2 weeks. I stayed onboard Saturday to see what is going on at night and there is a dory with four 'charachters' doing the rounds after dark. We found the dory (minus outboard) tied up on the Moulsford bank downstream of the Beetle & Wedge.
It's very distinctive as it has been hand painted in matt black and has a car seat in it. The outboard is a 2-stroke (Suzuki I think) that has been painted grey.
Reported to the Police and EA.

These pirates were less Long John Silver and more Somali toating RPG / AK47 stylee, except they had a Jack Russell.

On Friday May 29th May these four guys in the Dory came down river passing us at Moulsford prep school. We then moored not far from my good friend Byron and the same guys came back up river at well gone midnight. We stayed at the same spot and on Saturday night and they came back down river in darkness and again went back up river gone midnight. We saw the boat moored beside the smallholding on the stbd bank (going up river) just short of Wallingford. Hope this helps.
