Pirate Weekend

Pirates

Apologies from the Good ship French Connection and her unworthy crew!!
I was risking a mutiny if I took them out in this!!

We're up for doing it in August if a re-schedule is on the cards??

Suggestion for Pirates weekend

Just a suggestion to run past the pirate hierarchy.
What about re-scheduling the Pirate weekend for the Sunday of the August bank holiday??

We're all up for it!!

What say Ye......??

You must have that scaredy cat CPD on board, spreading tales of horizontal biking.
None of it is true, none.

On a more sombre note, it would appear I have at least 2 totally duff batteries as the voltage went down from 12.6 to 10.1 in about 2 hours. A visit to Dauntless is probably imminent.

I believe the scaredy cat CPD may have been the first to have thrown the towel in this morning. Having then driven though and hour and a half of horridness on the way back to Stortford, it is only now 4pm that there is anything approaching fine weather appearing which I hope any of the heartier souls up at stone point can enjoy later.

Stories of horizontal biking remained largely unshared however it is the tales of terror as the road opened with the throttle following suit that should really be the basis for deathly tales of hanging on in sheer bloody terror.

Any date will require an amount of reshuffling, so happy to go with the flow re dates for PIRATE WEEKEND II.

Well, we had a great weekend. Three adults and two small children. We got to Shotley in stair rods of rain, so did what all self respecting pirates would do and repaired to the bar... After an agreeable lunch, we had a quick round of Harry Potter Cluedo (won by yours truly) We left Shotley at around 4pm, had a sparkling sail in the bay in great sunshine and a warm (for once) F4 breeze and then headed off to Stone Point. Couldn't get the kids off the helm...

A bit disappointed to find no-one else there at all. Honestly, call yourselves pirates?:D

Anyhow, we had a good evening too. Sunday was great till around 1pm when we got thoroughly rained on (having terrorised the seals around Hamford Water). It's only water though.

A good weekend - just a shame there was no-one else to share it with.

If we're doing another one this year. I'm off to the Channel Isles till September (well, not me all the time but the boat is...) Sept 18 is the earlies I can make.

ah, you do put us to shame...:( however I think I can speak for the whole Bridgemash posse when I say that - come Sunday morning when we were all aboard Black Magic having a good fry up in the warm and dry being protected from the lashing rain by the cockpit tent and being knocked about by 30kt winds - we were quite glad we hadn't made the trip!

There's a cracking pic of Mr FC cooking on his cockpit bbq in the pouring rain. Will post asap.
