Pirate Weekend

By an unbelievable series of coincidences, it seems that Full Circle will only have aboard the 2 owners.
No mini pirates at all. Hmm:(

Still, it means more room to stretch about, and Sunday breakfast will be very easy.

Hay!
Save a space for us.
Can't get away until from Cambridge till late afternoon.
We can't get out of the Deben until abour 10:00 on Saturday.
Be there lunchtime ish.

See you all then.

Oh ho, new crew signed up. Boat full again now, hurrah!

My son came in over the (Deben) bar yesterday (Monday 11 July) afternoon one hour after Low Water. His Westerly Tiger draws 4foot 3inches. He did think that he might touch but didn't. You should get out earlier provided the wind is as forcast!

We did get in at quite low water the other week but that was neaps.
I have a very valuable crew aboard and do not want to worry them with shallow water.
No rush apart from finding a mooring.

If it is busy we will just impose our selves on someone:D

piraty advice me hearties?

Ahoy (just trying to maintain the spirit of the w/e), Middle son, James, really fancies joining in on the pirate weekend. He has even been talking about piraty clothing for goodness sake. This from a young man with less dress sense than I have!

Anyway, no decision made yet, it would represent the furthest we have ever travelled after all, but I have been looking at wind forecasts and Sunday is not looking too good for the return to the Blackwater. Wind Guru and XC suggest some strong gusty conditions and a beat home.

Am I right in thinking getting back home on Sunday would be problematic? We both have work on Monday I am afraid.

Opinions, as always, most welcome.

Thanks.
