Pirate weekend

Of course you are welcome!!!!!!... its not 'my' BBQ, its for anyone on the East Coast with or without kids, that wants a fun weekend....

I suspect that the 'kids' beach games will be well represented by the adult attenders too... we certainly intend bringing kites, at least one boules set, and perhaps even a cricket bat and stumps.... which should be entertaining on the 30deg slope at Stone point/Flint Island /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

We'll try and arrange a kids expedition to W&FYC for them to take a peek at Nancy Blacket.... certainly my daughter wouldn't forgive me if we didn't try!

a great beach game we were shown by a Dutch Family.
each partisipant has a large bottle of water (without the stopper) they stand behind the bottle & take turns to hit each others bottles with a ball, if the bottle is knocked over one must retreive the ball prior to standing the bottle upright. if the bottle is empty your out .last one with water in the bottle is the winner

Try the cornflakes packet one . You start off with an empty box standing upright and everyone has to bend over and pick it up by biting on the box ( no hands allowed ) , then all those that manage it are through to the next round where one inch is cut off the top of the box and everyone tries again , continue this cutting off an inch at a time till the last one to manage it is the winner . I've seen a load of half cut women doing it and it's hilarious when it gets to the last few inches . They seem to have more difficulty getting hold of a couple of inches than they do getting about seven or eight inches in their mouths

Hi there - a bit late responding but Ty Dewi's crew is up for this if it's still 14/15 July. That's just a few weeks before boat and I leave for the Canaries so it'll be good to have some family time on board. Me, Gesa, Issie (5) and Max (3) will be along to join in fun and games. We can easily park Ty Dewi out of the way if the anchorage is a bit crowded. Let me know if we can do anything to help out.

Hi Neil

Good to finally meet you on Saturday at Stone Point. We are unfortunately going to have to miss the pirate weekend as there is an important family engagement happening that weekend. Always the way!!
No doubt though there will be other events and we will most certainly get involved in them.

See you soon.

Grant

Hello all,
I am organising the OGA S&A event at W&FYC, so maybe we should try to co-ordinate alittle bit?
Should I send a program of our events to Morgana? Please let me know. Some info and entry forms can be found on the eastcoastclassics website.
