I guess it’s because I a) didn’t wait long enough and/or b) applied the layer too thick, but I’ve got a billion pinholes in my latest layer of of varnish.
Its epifanes high gloss clear and this is the second coat on top of 6 coats of rapid clear. First coat was thinned and went on well but I only waited 14 hours before a light sand and next coat un thinned.
It sanded properly with a fine dry powder residue so I wrongly assumed it would be ok the slap another coat on.
Can I just sand it and continue or do I need to do something special?

Thanks for all advice.

Pinholes occur when you apply with augmenting temperature. The wood gets hot, the air in the wood has to escape. Varnish with descending temperature.
