At least 5 Bristol Channel Pilot cutters will be arriving in Barry harbour on Friday & Saturday 3rd -4th May for the start of the annual Pilot Cutter race down towards Lundy. They will be racing for the coveted Barry Yacht Club. Cock 'O the Channel embroidered burgee.
The race will be start at 14.00 on the Saturday, best viewing from the breakwater alongside the club,or if the weather is poor from the new club lounge.
You are welcome to come down to the club and view these wonderful and powerful sailing boats.

Took some pictures from Nells Point.Looked pretty boisterous out there.

We saw these in Portishead Marina last night and were fortunate enough to be invited on-board Olga for a guided tour - absolutely beautiful inside and out, and the crew that we met could not have been more welcoming.

hope the attachment works. heres one I took from aboard my boat on the sunday. I didnt get too close but I tacked across to the english coast with them whilst maintaining a mile or so west of them. they sure looked pretty and were going at a good clip in a stiff breeze once away from the welsh coast. lovely craft.
