Pile of Sealine shite going cheap

Sorry to be positive but I'm now sitting in the AC of my 3rd Sealine (S37) and have enjoyed a really great morning in a little bay not too far away. I've owned this one from new for 5 years now and although I've had some Volvo problems (with the small bit of electronics that is on the KAD43) it's been a great boat with tremendous after sales service from Sealine.
Just thought I'd add this to balance things up a bit....Sealine do have happy customers.

I've had my Sealine S24 for 9 years (since new) and although I had a few problems mainly Volvo (see below) and some poor service from Sealine (in 1999/2000), I have been very happy with the boat.

I can certainly understand the service issue, I had a oil sump that nearly rusted through (in the first two years), could I get Volvo or Sealine to sort this under warranty - no, even after many letters, it was a costly job and since the new sump no rust.

The boat has been reliable and the quailty pretty good, yes I've had some issues like the odd self tapping screw falling out and a seat bracket problem, but she has never let me down, erm well the engine belt snapped due to a bracket failure last year and thanks to Seastart - damn good service, repaired it in one hour!

It has now done around 600hours, mind you I usually keep my boats for 10years and now thinking of replacing her. But it won't be a new Sealine - I just don't like them anymore (odd designs and IKEA interiors) and now worried about quailty control. Anyway they don't do a single diesel (to my knowledge).

So mixed feelings I guess, older sealines better prehaps.

I know of a few more happy Sealine owners, F43, S37 & F36.

I also know of S38 owner who is most upset.

Could it be possible that the older models were better built?

Our S28 was great, I mean it, no problems at all.

Here Here!

Exceptionally happy with my F43! Not one problem in a year and a half....(It's 10 years old now and people always comment on how good a condition it is in), excellent accommodation and seems pretty good at sea! Crossed the channel last year in F6 / F7 no probs!

Suppose it's any mass produced item, there are always Friday afternoon builds and there are an awful lot of them about!

I bought my Sealine after much research and it fits the bill to a tee! /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
