Seems I've got the chance of a berth here for next season. Anyone know what its like? Facilities? Security? Traffic noise?

i went to palma earlier in the year, and p46 is one of the city-centre marinas along the recently-fixed-up front. The security seemed pretyy good - no prob wandering around club de mar finstance cos there's loads of shops, but the newer marinas tell snoopers like er me to get lost. Fab exploring/foodie options in the old town. Praps get a foldy bike or scooter. I wd def stay there a year or mebbe more.

I'm told about £7k for a 15m berth. Have'nt actually visited the place but a friend did a couple of weeks ago and was told he could have a 12m berth himself for next year and they had others available. The only downside seems to be that you have to clear out for the month of April because the Palma boat show is held there

i bet you could cram into club de mar over april. Best wd be to get mrs Deleted User to ask about this to sweet talk the old battleaxe in the marina office at club de m, worked ok with mrs tcm.
But anyway, pier 46 isn't in the blimmin palma boat show, thort that was Longy summink further along. Mebbe they probably use p46 as overflow. So praps get hold of somebody nice at Peters in cala d'or (i.e. charles kiellly) and bung the boat in there for a month. Or of course, get the thing hoiked out and a/foul over april.

Marina says 1 year berthing agreement is for 11 months only because everybody has to clear out for Show in April but as you say not a prob at that time of year to find somewhere else even if it means going back to Denia for a month. I know Charles because I bought the T48 from them - seem like good people generally

Went Palma earlier in the year and berthed near there on a Friday night. All the local teenagers seem to use the public walkway along the side of the marina as a party venue. The noise between midnight to 3am was incredible. The street cleaners then started to clear up the mess at first light using mechanical vacuum machines.
No sleep possible that night at all.
