Pictures at last.............

Now markup is enabled we can put pics in our messages so, just to celebrate, here's one I took recently in Chatham Maritime Marina when we took clives boat down a few weeks ago.

Trouble is on my laptop on my mobile, it's going to take forever to load the post! Never mind, I'll just not load those posts! I guess.

Absolutely right. And if you decide to choose 'flat' view and there are several photos in the thread it really will take ages with a slow or standard modem - not to mention the increased bandwidth traffic through the server and a possible slow down effect for all users - especially if peeps dont size their images well and use oversized jpgs. Thats why I elected to go for an Image Gallery setup where those interested can go to see specific pictures and only a url is needed in the message itself. You need access to webspace to put the image online anyway cos you cant actually upload it to the ybw site so the Boaters Gallery still serves its purpose.

I like the picture gallery, then I can look at the pictures when I'm on a faster link, IE: internet cafe! Thanks!
