I'm sorry about this but can someone tell me how to post photos. I know its been covered many times but I've done a search and can't find it. I want to add a photo to my id and post some others.

Thanks for your help

User picture. Go to User Options at top left of page (under where it says welcome MedDreamer)Scroll down to Personal info, and click on 'Edit'. Down at bottom you can link to a picture on the internet, or upload a picture from your computer.

=============

Posting pictures into posts. Basically, the picture has to be on an internet site, not on your computer. Then when you make a post, down at bottom, under where you enter text, there is a box which says 'Instant Mark-up'. Click on 'Image' and paste or type the url of the picture

(NB - It must be the URL to the picture, NOT the URL of the webpage on which the picture is located. To get the url of the picture, right click on it. A pop up box will open. Click on properties, then on the new pop up box, select and copy the url shown )

For a more detailed explanation of how to get pictures on the internet etc, have a read of the guide put together by Ships_woofy

Each camera has a different way of connecting to your computer with it's own proprietary software, so difficult to write a guide.

Easiest way though, if your computer doesn't already have a multi card reader, buy one, they are pretty cheap.

Then just take the card out of the camera, plug it into the card reader, and the card and pictures on it will show up instantly as another drive/folder on your computer. You just copy or move the pictures to a folder on your hard drive on your computer. Very quick and easy
