Photobucket 3rd party hosting fees

About 2 years ago I opened a photo bucket free account so I could upload photos to accompany threads.

They have now restricted my ability to do this, so no point in keeping this service, as I am not going to pay them just to be able to put my photos on here. I have no other use for photo bucket.

Are there other free to use sites that I can use instead do photo bucket that I can use to upload photos onto here ?

Have others met this restriction ?

Further to the above - Photobucket want $399.99 per annum to be able to use 3rd party hosting just to be able to post a few pictures on here. That's me out of photobucket then.

I don't know about free, but I am paying the grand sum of £2.44 per month to have all my stuff on Imageshack.

How do I select the file type with Dropbox ?

I have found Dropbox very reliable for file storage, and am thinking of using it paid for. I have closed the photo bucket account. I assume that means old threads will lose the photos - hey ho.

Linking is easy - just change the end of the link dl=0 to raw=1 et voila!

Thanks for heads up, I have just switched to Imgur and posted a photo, dead easy, no way am I going to pay Photobucket silly money for very occasional use!
