Does anyone know the reset procedure to use after changing the internal battery for a MK5 navigator, or for that matter any other model?
I replaced my battery but because it had already died the unit had lost all the user settings, now when I switch it on it's stuck in a boot-up loop. I've been told this is normal and it just needs a 'factory settings' reset.

If you don't get the answer, I have PDF files of several AP Navigator manuals. If you'd like them, send me a PM with your email address.

If you get really stuck I have one I could donate for the postage.

Was linked to a Yeoman and worked excellently when I removed it 12 months ago.

Aerial, cables, wire colour codes and instruction manual could be bundled in.

Not much use in a camper van

Many thanks, I'm going to try various reset procedures at the weekend, if it doesn't work I'd be grateful for your old set and will pm you.

After a bit of trial and error I found that holding button 'R' and switching on resets the unit. Unfortunately in my case its still not working, just saying 'GPS sentences off'.
