Peugeot anyone?

I know nothing about Peugeot 'marine' engines. I am planning to take a look at a Colvic that has a Peugeot 2.5 E55 engine with Volvo Penta 290 leg.

Anyone have any experience of them? Is there a specialist? What is their reputation and back up (if any?)

Sounds like someone marinised a Peugeot Diesel engine. A lot of Colvic boats were bought as shells and fitted out by DIYers or sometimes by boatyards.
I have heard of a few Dutch steel cruisers with Peugeot diesels but they were older boats.

The Volvo D21 was based on the Idenor Peugeot engine.

Looks like I have found another marine backwater...at least Lancing Marine have memories of them as being OK but that's about it.
