Hi all,

After a delivery trip from Rye last November it became apparent that the ‘freshly serviced’ Petter mini 6 in my boat was anything but. Both filters were clogged on inspection at Dover and replaced. When the boat came out of the water I removed the fuel tank, cut an inspection hatch and cleaned out a considerable amount of bug. I have also sent the injector for a service and am replacing the fuel lines.

Do you think I need to inspect/renew anything else, the lift pump for example?

The engine compartment was also soaked in diesel, and today I discovered the fuel return hose wasn’t making it quite as far as the tank, appearing to drain into the bilge!

Any suggestions welcome as I am struggling for detail on this at the moment.

i dont know about the single cylinder but the twin diesel return does not go back to the tankbut back into thefuel line i will find my manual and have a look if i can find any other info, its on the boat so it will be tomorow

Thanks for that, I thought that would be more logical. I am replacing the fuel lines anyway so I will ask at the engine shop as well. I have the original manual for the engine but its very hard to understand.
