I guess you will do what you want to do anyway and thats cool . I'm just saying that buying something less than perfect or smaller is probably a good move so you can feel your way .
Think .. your first house and your first car .
Thats my advice anyway . Its up to you what you do with it .
I'm 38 and my boat is 40 years old . The boat is in better condition than me

Just pretend that you're driving a Vintage car rather than a blingfull beemer or merc....

Folks will take more notice of your superior boatmanship than they will of a pointy nose and acres of polished plastic.

A decent sized covered steering position to keep you warm should encourage you to do some out of season cruising in comfort.

Whatever you actually do (depends on whether you really like the boat and /or what's wrong with it) at least it's a benchmark of likes / dislikes.

Everyone has different tastes, which is why not all boats are the same!

I am a happy sport cruiser petol owner, but I went into it with my eyes open and knew its pros and cons. I moor at Windsor so no issue getting petrol. We also wanted to use the boat on the coast as well which we will be doing at eeaster.

I just found a boat for friends their spec was different - patio doors, sliding roof, heating and stable. So they have just brought a diesel princess ds30. Great for the upper Thames!

We are. It's lovely there.... :) Not a Broom 30....

'Phew, that was quick (decision that was).
DO make sure that you get a thorough survey that should report everything - even minor details so that you know what may need fixing later.
A service history form the previous owner(s) at least show that someone cares.
Did you go for a burn?

Bray appears to be the most active marina with some very nice people in it ;)

Are you going to change the name?
Standing-room-only?
Barking trio?

and you'll need one of these:-

Welcome to the madhouse....

Not a quick decision at all as we wanted this lovely boat last year but couldn't afford it then... Already knew about it. Rather a long decision but we got there. Bray is a nice place to be. Nice surroundings. Yet to meet the people's. :) Looking forward to it very much. :)

...the survey also allowed me to negotiate another 15% down from the 'subject to survey' offer: very easily.

Do it in a reasonable way...be flexible....all adds to the 'spending pot' once you're afloat :D

Good for you and just enough time before the season to get it how you want it.

Look forward to crossing paths out on the river.

Viva L is probably the best choice for you overall, versatile and spacious, with 6 spaces for Flybridge/berths/dining, which is unheard of at 32'.

Well done!
