Petrol on the Orwell

Where, when and how much?

Supply looks limited to SYH(levington), any other supplies known?

Other methods of filling up with petrol? e.g Park close and syphon, Jerry cans, etc

Thats the only option... as such you can usually guarantee that its way over priced, assuming they have some that is!

The other options / locations on the river:

Shotley - No petrol and no garage near
Wolverstone - No petrol and no garage near
Fox's Marina - No Petrol, garage 5/10 minute walk
Neptune Marina - No petrol, garage 15/20 minute walk
Haven marina - No petrol, garage 15/20 mnute walk

I know that Neptune dont stop you from taking jerry cans etc onto the pontoons to fill up your tank, i dont know about the others on the river. Only reason i say this is that a mate of mine who berths down south isnt allowed to fill his boat from a can on the pontoon...!

Knowing the marina's - i doubt you will be able to park that close / close enough to be able to syphon to the boat, mind you i guess if you are determined, its all possible!

How big is your fuel tank....?
90 gallons = 40 x 20l jerry cans!!!
