And Angus - there will be no problem at all using the can for a one off fuel transfer. I think we all assumed you were using the same cans for topping up both engines. If there was a lot of diesel left you might get a little more smoke than usual from the OB

Petrol in Diesel ....

Used for many years as a cure for Winter blues !! Up to 2% petrol or kerosine in diesel was a winteriser for diesel for many years .....

The little dribble that may be in your can is no problem at all ........... it's actually more risk that YOU forget which is which. As somone else said - preferred if you get separate cans to stop you putting wrong fuel into engine etc.

Finally .... petrol into a diesel engine is less problem than diesel in a petrol engine .... but both in excess are disaster.
