Peter's Plums OUCH to Help Hamble Lifeboat Crew

When we were in Hythe Marina for a couple of years, Peter Lovett, a friend moored a couple of boats away owns a Bavaria 32 Hardtop with snap davits for dinghy launch and recovery.

I never thought this possible and it will make you WINCE when you read it. Pete had the most unbelievably horrible experience trying to get off the swim platform onto a Jet Ski. Something caught on the davit, twanged him back and ripped his groin to pieces leaving his scrotum and gonads hanging down his leg!!!

Fantastic support from Hamble Lifeboat - Air lift and surgeons put him back together.

Frightening story but Pete is trying to raise £10,00 to help Hamble lifeboat, if you read the daily mail link to story, you'll see why.

Saw this previously RR and it still makes my stomach turn .....got to not read these sort of posts during breakfast
