I have a couple of nice stainless steel Peters and Bey nav lamps from the 1980s which could do with new lenses. It is possible to get these from the company in Hamburg at a reasonable cost (in fact all replacement parts are available) but they want payment by bank transfer and UPS delivery which adds up to over 70 euro - almost as much as the parts themselves.

Any idea of somewhere in UK where parts can be got. I'm in no hurry for these.

The supplier was ok - they had all the replacment parts I wanted and were prepared to send them. The problem was the cost of delivery (they wanted to use one of the expensive carriers) and payment (they wanted money sent to their bank account which added to the costs). Adding that all up meant the cost wasn't worth going ahead with. So much for the EU's attempt to build up online shopping in Europe.

You can contact them via http://www.peters-bey.com/

I replaced the lenses on mine. It was cheaper than buying new lamps. Paying euro to euro makes the banking a bit easier, but the shipping was not cheap, even just across the border GE - BE.
