Perspex washboards - Chichester area

Not exactly Chichester but Sunlight Plastics in Waterlooville http://www.sunlightplastics.co.uk
and
TP Marine ( Formerly known as Talking Plastics) based in Wicormarine http://www.tpmarine.co.uk/
are not a million miles away

One of these is more likely to have the thickness and tint you require than a local plastics supplier that you find via Yell etc
Both advertise as suppliers of plastics for boat windows in PBO

think TP plastics have gone pear shaped ???? but i could be wrong

Lumohammer, I am also interested in replacing ours for a Rival 32. I would be very interested on how you get on in regards to costs and the locking mechanism. I enquired at Sunlight about a year ago but have not followed this up.

It would be great to hear about costs and service of your preferred suppier.

Than you and good luck.

Oliver

Companies House shows them both as still trading.
However the credit reference service I use (intended for suppliers to companies) says cash terms recommended for one and max credit 500 for the other so take care.
The main business for most acrylic plastic moulders/fabricators is retail display stands and I'm sure that is suffering at the moment.

Sunlight are good. I've taken them various bits and bobs, some broken into several pieces, to use as patterns and they've always matched them perfectly, even when they've had lots of countersunk holes. Their prices are farily keen too.

T P Marine are no more.

TP Marine used to be based here at Wicormarine but have moved out and I'm not sure whether or not they are still trading.

Appreciate your concerns re Talking Plastics, but they recently made me a full set of replacement windows, and did a good job.

My experience with TP Marine last year was not good. I was promised 3 different delivery dates and in the end one of the washboards had to go back to be modified and I had to chase that.

Hadlow Marine are over Kent way and do perspex hatches and washboards. www.hadlowmarine.co.uk

I have been using them to refurbish the windows on my Rival 41C and they have provided an excellent service at a very good price. Delivery has been as promised and technical issues with my old windows addressed with no hassle. Basically they have done the job as advertised. From this perspective I would recommend them.

They get busy at the end of the winter as I found out this year around March time but they still delivered as promised so don't leave it too late.

No association except as a satisfied customer. I live in Scotland so its all done by mail.
