I always thought that the option to send an email to a fellow forum member was a private channel of communication. I've just received a couple which then appeared as threads within the forum postings.
Good job I saw this as I almost went global in my defence of the Scottish Nation and Gordon Brown. I suspect that Bob Tyler knew this all along and was trying to tempt me into a hyperspace conflict.

Me too!

I thought this was the case as well, and I am not aware of any correspondence I have transmitted as emails appearing as threads.

If they are emails you have received, it could be that the sender him/herself has rewritten them as a Scuttlebutt contribution.

Perhaps Kim could comment

My sincere apologies I offended you. There is nothing wrong with the system and it was only meant as a brief leg-pull, not intended as a send-up. Sorry.

Absolutely no offence taken whatsoever - I genuinely thought that the option to email a fellow contributor was a private channel and only readable by the recipient. I received both of your emails from YBW when I was having a play last night at home. It was only this morning during an idle moment of works time that I breezed into the forum to find the same message.
Again - no offence and indeed apologies for any insinuation that you were being devious!
