Persistent Boatshow advertising in the margins of my screen...what is this new hell?

I find the way it constantly moves about is very irritating.

As a general rule, if something moves like that on the screen I make a positive decision to avoid whatever it is shouting about...

We are not going to the SIBS this year,,,,,

Today I find the boatshow ads are back, up both sides of my screen, on Internet Explorer AND Chrome.

Has some persistent bugger found a way for the crud to sneak past the AdBlock defences?

Does IPC know how much this manner of marketing is hated by regular contributors?

I use Chrome and Adblocker and haven't seen any of these adverts. Try reinstalling.

I have had a look at Firefox which I use and can't immediately see a way of doing this, is there? or do I have to resort to adblocker which may blaoc other things of interest.

I could not see a way of altering the page width in Firefox either but probably just missed it.

You need to go to "Tools" - "Add-ons" and load adlocker+,

That gets rid of the white blanks (at least in a Linux OS)
