Have a look at this webpage, scrolling down to "outboard condenser", which btw looks exactly the same thing fitted in that Pershing.
I didn't think to check in advance, but in hindsight it wasn't hard to guess that Ferretti fit Frigonautica stuff.
Btw, at the top of the page you might also like the photo of the very clean e/r with MAN engines, albeit different than yours... :encouragement:
That looks v familiar and I think you've got it. It does indeed look like an outboard condenser for a Frigomar compressor which was used to drive the galley fridge in older Ferretti group boats. I had a similar condenser fixed to the hulls of my F46 and F53
The story I was given was that Ferretti wanted to move the noise and heat of the usual domestic type galley fridge to the engine bay and at the same time increase the efficiency of the fridge. Certainly the galley fridges on both my F46 and F53 performed very well although replacing them was all but impossible because they were rare models built without compressors
