Ken, how do you know it hasn't always been "inside out"

Because hardware like the leech line cleat is now visible when the sail is furled (that's what tipped me off). Never used to be.

Its on the list- I ran out of time before setting off on the summer cruise-
You got the wrong genoa back after winter valet?Because hardware like the leech line cleat is now visible when the sail is furled (that's what tipped me off). Never used to be.

KellysEye gave you the right answer, what is the matter with you all!You put the furler line on the wrong way round. Tie a line around the genoa to stop it unfurling the take the line off and put it back the other way around the drum.

There is nothing wrong with the sail, so why take it down. the drum simply needs the line rotating the correct way, when you pull out the sail and furl it, it will have the uv strip on the correct side.No he didn't.
You have to take the sail off the spar. Then wind the line onto the drum in the correct direction and then rehoist the sail!
It has got complicated enough! better to see if Ken fixed it"The genoa should be reefed in the same direction as the strands turn on the forestay."

Sail dropped. Remaining line pulled off drum and rewound in opposite direction. Sail hoisted. Furling line pulled back. Sail rolls in the right direction. Dory is hunky. Many thanks all.
