Good Evening All. A bit of advice if possible? I have an Aquastar 27 with a Perkins M225TI which has run faultlessly for my 3 years owning Her. I have changed all fuilds and filters religiously, pulled injectors and tested, done valve clearances and full compression and leak down tests which are all spot on just whilst I was getting to know the boat and build confidence. She reaches the full 2500 RPM and runs at a constant low 80 Deg max 85 at 2000 - 2200 rpms with no smoke at any rev range apart from the usual puff on a cold start.

My question is, the only parts I have not serviced so far is the main heat exchanger and the intercooler / manicooler assembly which I am tempted to put on this winters to do list. I can not find any guides online or in the owners manual and just wondering if its worth pulling it all of anyway or flushing the system through with a good cleaner before winter lay up?

Any thoughts, advice or experience would be much appreciated!

Regards,

Matt

Yep i@m inclined to do this. Anyone offer any advise on guides to follow? I've heard they can be problematic to rebuild / part lists for rebuild?
Cheers..

I new one that failed so water in engine , so take it to someone who can pressure test it , like rad repair shop.

If I remember those were made of stainless and the weld was failed as if when made they don’t introduce SS rods it corrodes .
