Perkins Model desig for Volvo TMD 22

Well, presumably you already know that it's based on a Perkins Prima, but as for "precisely", I dunno.

The basic engine is from the Austin Montego, Sherpa van etc of the late 1980s. It is the BL petrol engine re-engineered for diesel by Perkins and built by them. The original marina version was sold as Perkins Prima then Volvo took over the marketing and widened the range. Not always a direct equivalent in the automotive range and many of the parts are unique to Volvo.

So, there is not a "precise" equivalent as the marine turbo version in that state of tune is unique to Volvo. You may well find, however that some service parts such as filters and internal parts are common to other variants of the basic engine.

I know its the Prima but is there not a secondary design for the turbo version??

Depends on what you mean by a "secondary" design - it is a turbo version of the basic engine which was made in a variety of capacities (1.6 and 2l) and states of tune for both marine and automotive use. Clearly some parts will be different in different versions - just get a Volvo spares list from www.marinepartseurope.com to identify the differences.
