Perkins M50 / VP MD22L-A heat exchanger end cover - part number?

Well, at least it sparked an interesting discussion! A follow up question though: Bowman part number 3186 looks very similar and has the same inlet and outlet IDs (70mm, 28mm). What no one has been able to tell me so far is whether the internal ID (to fit the tube assembly) is the 54mm that I require. This is a shame as the latest prices from Lancing are Bowman part £12, Perkins part £49.95.

Just phone bowman in Birmingham. I did when I was repairing my bowman heat exchanger and they were very helpful with sizes of the O-ring seals on mine.

For the benefit of those that follow ....
I eventually established that the Bowman part 3186 fits the 50mm tube assembly, not the 54mm version I have.
A shame since Lancing price for that was £12 (+VAT and freight). The VP part (861608) was £49.85 (+VAT and freight) from them. Rather better than the £56.11 (+) from Ropewalk or £75.42 (+) from Keypart.
