Perkins 4108 gearbox oil filter identification

Cant identify the correct oil filter for the Borg Warner gearbox can any one help please?

Are you sure it has one? I've got a Borg Warner on my 4107, it runs on automatic transmission fluid and I'm pretty sure it doesn't have a filter.

The TMP has a filter

Gearbox may be thames1200/nicor/tmp which has an oil filter with approx 10mm stud which is I believe obsolete but someone out there may have a cross ref!

i recently supplied a forumite with a filter i had but have no recollection on its ref No

I bought one in Shetland last year, at the local auto shop, its the same as the 4-108 oil filter on the engine as I recall.

the engine is the same as the 3.5 Rover SDI
the TMP box filter is much smaller

If it is a TMP box then the filter is a Crossland 670 or equivalent.

there is a metal gauze on the flow pipe to the oil cooler. it is inside the gear box, surrounding the cooler flow pipe and can be cleaned on oil drain.

Many thanks guys. I confess.... it is the TMP .... my previous boat had the borgwarner.
Visually it is the same style as the engine filter but as said above it is smaller. I think the crossland 670 is a good steer.
