Saturday, watched Pinsent, Coode, Williams and Cracknell win by a comfortable margin; cut grass with tractor (removing all guilt); spent rest of day on boat with family, thought I was going to have to offer someone a tow when he couldn't start his engine but then he did; caught up with rest of Olympic news and fell asleep.

Sounds like a serious under utilisation of the boat to me. How much time was "the rest of the day" and did you actually go to sea?

Just trying to get a little balance in there to keep everyone happy and yes we did. We were among the ones coming back uptide through Chi harbour with the engine off watching the world go by very slowly but quietly.

If that's your idea of a comfortable margin, I wouldn't want to be swapping tacks with you /forums/images/icons/wink.gif...

Re: comfortable margin

I can assure you that if I cut across your bows with that sort of margin it's because I haven't seen you! If all is going well I'll be the one avoiding the situation before it develops and issuing a mellow wave to all concerned.
