So very true

You can ask John Parker if you have no faith that I speak with the truth. Forsooth he will verily vouch that he have fashioned a new suite of sails for my fine craft...

Gawd we really do need a super smug bastart smiley.....

They are not alone.

SWMBO decided on the boat (Malo since you ask) and subsequently encouraged purchase of cruising shute.

Can this be true? or are these two gentlemen on some amazing fantasy-trip?
QUOTE]

I am now seeking a verrrry large kennel - when I made this hasty remark I put my dainty size seven foot well and truly in my mouth. I am close to being shrivveled to microns by the withering glare of SWMBO.

Why, you may ask?

Well, when I was protesting incredulity at the possibility that our wives, First Officers and SWMBOs might even consider buying a new suit of sails or other such "trinkets", I had completely forgotten that my dear, sweet, incredibly generous "First Lady" had funded the total re-upholstering of Khamsin.

I am in The Dog House - and probably shall be for all eternity. I might just be allowed to plead insanity, or advanced dementia, but I am bound by the laws of decency and grovelling to offer my total, humongous and snivveling apology to 'er indoors.

Mea Culpa.

I may not live to see the dawn, so I thank you all for your advice, wit and cammaraderie. It was nice knowing you.
