A further update on the conditions of the marina.
The decision has been made to close the marina until further notice.
This decision has not been taken lightly, however due to the severe flooding it has been decided to shut the power off completely due to Health & Safety reasons.
We have also been advised by the Environment Agency to expect a further 8 inches of water by tonight.
With the above in mind and due to the pontoons not being accessible, please do not attend the marina and we will continue to update you on a regular basis.
Please be re-assured that the staff here are continuing to check the boats regularly.
Not surprised tbh and probably very wise under the circumstances. Police arrived at Penton Park (next to the marina) at 3:30 this morning to begin evacuating residents.
