Penton Hook Lock - Emergency Closure

Please find attached a copy of a Harbour Masters notice issued this afternoon regarding the overnight closure of Penton Hook Lock tomorrow evening. As you are aware there has been restricted access to the lock since the weekend. A divers survey carried out yesterday detailed essential repairs to the tail gate that need to be carried out immediately.

When: 6:30pm on Thursday 7 July to 8am on Friday 8 July 2016
Where: Penton Hook Lock
What’s happening: Emergency lock closure for urgent repair to one of the tail lock gates.

It was fixed by 2315 last night so is fully operational now.
