Having circumnavigated (in whole or in part), the Pelopponnesus, 6 times in 5 years, there is little endurance involved in making stopovers. You do need to leave at least a fortnight to do it in case of adverse winds and , as pointed out by JimB, stopovers are fairly spread out especially round Malea.
IMHO the most rewarding sailing area in Greece, infinitely better then the Ionian (where I'm currently languishing what with misdelivered parcels and insurance surveys). To be honest this is the first time I've been caught in the Ionian in August and an horrid, overcrowded and angst-ridden place it is.
