Pegasus Yacht Owners

Yeah cos we get loads of Pegasus yachts on the upper Thames!

Sheesh!

A place to discuss boating issues specific to the Thames and other inland waterways...............

Pegasus yachts where built for use on the Norfolk Broads (an inland waterway), where many are still located today; and hence the posting in this forum.

But thanks for your input.

Sheesh!

thats a loda Bollix
most were sea going, my 800 must hold the record for North Sea crossings :p

Regardless of whether or not Pegasus owners read this forum it is still worthy of a posting here. Someone here may well know a Peggy owner and could then draw their attention to the message.

I agree. Ignore the trolls.

....about as frequently as you see PWC on the Upper Thames..

Nah, knob or no knob - Still think this should be in the Yachting forum where it belongs.

I'd quit before you start digging ;) was surprised to see a rather large Jeaneau/Bavaria?? AWB! they all look the same anyway, with a stepped mast sitting in Thames and Kennet the other weekend, actualy it might have been a Pegasus:D

Come on Chris, lets face it. Its a rank outsider shot that there would be any/many Pegasus owners watching this forum.

OP also posted on Scuttlebutt with little response but didn't post on PBO where there appears to be more interest in the marque - Pegasus

Oh, and to the offender - you know who you are - calling someone a 'knob' is not very nice - not even Apollo.

Don't disagree, but an awful lot of people watch this forum and the reception above is what stops them posting.

You are so right Chris. There was a time when there was only light hearted banter here and a warm welcome to any newcomer. Now it seems everyone is open for crucifixion especially newcomers.

I agree Byron and I am becoming disillusioned as a result. The fun days of your welcome on the meadows, my first experience of advice from B1, my first hangover with Bradtarga98 (I am predicting forward here), my last hangover with Bradtarga234, my laughter at twisted pulpit RR_123, the joy of seeing Mike down the river in anything from a kayak to a narrowboat to a dory (he is always Doingalot), the pleasure of watching inlandnewbie reaching a point where he needs to change his name, the cheeky enjoyment of Cuchilo, all these things I have enjoyed. I am now tired of the bickering and have considered leaving the forum. But I think it has a place and I do not want to go.

I do not fully subscribe to here being a lobbying vehicle, but I do subscribe to it being a place for people to feel open and able to share their experiences and seek shelter and help as needed. Also to have a laugh. I have received and given in kind.

How do we reset attitudes, how do we bring back the fun?

Chris, you have no idea who 'looks but doesn't post' and why, as I administrate several forums, and some people just do that for no reason, we call them 'Voyeurs'

Every forum has them!

Byron and Gavi, as much as I love you both, get a grip chaps, this wasn't abuse, just a frivolous comment from a long standing member, who isn't by any means a Troll!

Minor p155 taking is de rigeur given the clearly unusual, and somewhat impertinent original posts subject matter given the usual Thames domination of this bit of the forum, and also with reference to the scarcity of Norfolk Broads posters, let alone Sailing boat posts.

Major over reaction methinks, and somewhat fulling the fire!

Now stand back Gents, lets get back on subject, thats the best way to make headway in these matters. Perhaps some pictures might cheer everyone up!
