PBO project boat

aha - reversed a pan

Love the rapidly reversing cars at 1:00 in!!!

you spotted my reversed pan - you are supposed to be looking at the boat

I assume that not many other sailors watched the film and the thing they noticed was the car in the far left corner of the screen going backwards unpheasibly fast

I could go back and fix it.....

perhaps I will

should I leave the shot or change it?

dunno what to do

Dylan

- ps - do you remember whawt sort of car it was?

Leave it as it is!!! I love querky wee things like this. I feel the editor is having a wee chuckle to themselves when they think " I wonder if anybody will notice?"

A car backing up at 40 mph is gonna catch my eye!

Back on topic tho, I love what theyre doing with the project boat. Folks say that it is un-ecinomical to repair all these old boats when a "going concern" will be cheaper in the long run. Buying a few bits and bobs as you need them during a refurbishment will spread the cost without resorting to a bank loan etc. I look forward to my next re-build!! This is simply the only way some folks can get onto the water eventually!!

One of my choices i actually made bids on was a snapdragon 23, as said by others they do have a very good following, they are well respected :)

I'm rather fond of mine and to be honest, the price I paid for what I got was brilliant..
Though being a bit of a fussy pants, when finances allow I may change for something with standing headroom down below. :) (I am a former MOBO owner after all. We expect a lot :) )

Regarding the PBO boat. To be honest, they are blitzing through the boat which will make the project look a bit barmy and expensive. The average 'bod' is likely to have the ol girl in the garden and pick up bits from jumbles etc to put her back together again.

I would probably say this practice is probably less common in current years than back when PBO started, but It's good to see..
