Its very hard to find in Europe, that is around the Atlantic ports i never saw one at all between Brest and Toulon.
They can be found from Lavandou to Menton however easly if you have a visa gold card Why are they so increadably expensive???And with so much advertising???
In Stockholm they also had "a" copy very dog eared and very very expensive!(last year)
If i could find gianenrico`s waiting room and could find a place in marina di carrera i to would read PBO every month with joy!!And enjoy once again wonderful Italian life!
Even though we have a motor cruiser, PBO is our preferred mag despite it's sail target. MBM is great too, but PBO is more of a boat owners mag, much of the material and stories are equally applicable and appealing to sail and motor.
We are moving about in the Med and it is very inconvenient to buy hard copies. I would pay for a subscription for an e-zine version, if it was available.
Better than it was a few years back. I used to like the articles where someone "shows off" their normal boat, usually nothing flash and older. Not so keen on the Blue water boats and the mods although interesting are not usually relevent.
All of'em, but then I typically read all issues of the main 3 (PBO, YM & ST), unless I miss one while out of the country (still peeved I missed the 100 best boats YM), but unlike others it seems, I don't read quite so deeply- I am not into tales of cruises gone wrong and reviews of Brumdiglough Wherry in the Outer Skerries.

IMHO, UK mags do not do 'real' tests, instead they demonstrate their advertisers wares with polite deferrance.
Mags cannot afford to do a frank and honest equipment test and recommendation, if they did they would loose too much advert revenue from miffed vendors. It's a difficult balancing act, they want to tell us about the kit, but we really want to know whats great, and whats junk, or even just poor. Some of the us boating mags are fantastic, no holes barred, they tell it straight as it is. Some US mag reviews have been happy to blatantly tell you to buy only one product, and have also been happy to truthfully savage poor products, or particular weakness in certain products. When buying expensive electronic gear one would prefer more frank, cutting, blunt and honest 'road tests'. One of the few things I like about the US - not afraid to tell it as it is, loud and bluntly. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
