Do you remember the project boat that PBO were building in 2017? I followed that story, and at times it was hard going, right up until the point that suddenly they stopped printing the next instalments. I did email the editor and asked what was going on, but received no response.

This month they are promising the second instalment of “Building a yacht in alumnium”, page 78 of April 2018, well I’m not a betting man, but it will be interesting to see if it ever appears. What odds would you give?

Think the project build was stopped because the editor and assistant who were building it were made redundant.

The aluminium boat has been built by somebody unconnected with the mag and sold their story so expect it will be printed in next month's issue.

Nail on head. Ive got some more in the pipeline. The legal stuff done so contracted. Point I'm making, PBO here to stay, different animal to YM so I doubt that they will join. PBO was always the highest seller although whether the stupid down size will screw it?

The articles I've written were all based on work I was doing in the yard at the time.
So roughly 6 to 8 weeks before publishing.
Trouble is I'm currently fitting a bow thruster in a Bav, designing and fitting a loo and holding tank systems in a Norhavn and a Hardy and making a shower tray for classic yacht, all of which I've covered in PBO in the past 12 months.
So the upshot is I might miss out on the May issue.
