Hi,

I have recently sold my boat but still have to pay for the empty berth at Universal Marina in the Solent.

If anyone wants it for half price (2k until the end of March max length 10,.67) Please let me know. It needs to be sorted out by the 15th August.

Having kept my boat at most of the Hamble Marinas, I have to say that Universal is probably my favourite although regretably we have spent very little time there in person.

Many Thanks
Simon

That's the problem with a one year contract , I fell foul of this when I sold my previous boat at Swanwick, I asked for the 7 months back or it to be deferred at which they refused until I found another boat. So I asked to place a friends boat on the berth while I worked on it , which again they refused .
The very next day after my boat left for Swansea they placed another boat on the berth yet they said they couldn't refund me unless they found another berth holder to take on the contract. This of course annoyed me, a sort of win win situation for them and an all round loose for me. Never again will I sign up anywhere for a 12 month contract.
On the ether hand I have just sold my boat and terminated my berth at Foulkes and Sons only having to give a months notice which is more than reasonable . I just hope they have space if and when I find another boat. Top service from a very friendly family run yard.

That's why its the only full marina on the Hamble. Chatting with Anthony the other day he reckons he is running at about 110% presently, and not only are the berths full, so is the shore storage. Getting difficult to find a parking space for a week out, as you can't park by the boats as this would stop movements during weekdays.
