Pay and display fees in Cardiff Bay?

Just wondering if someone can tell me how much the current fees are for pay and display at Mermaid Quay in Cardiff Bay? Are you aloud to stay overnight? If so, is it very noisy?

Not been over there for a bit, was £1 per hour, minimum 2 hours. The harbour patrol only work ofice hours so make payments accordingly!
I have stayed overnight and was not particularly noisy, either that or the wine kept the noise out!

Minimum fee £2 for the 1st 2 hours, £1 per hour thereafter.

Works the same as a car park pay and display, buy as many hours as you think you'll need.

I think the patrols knock off at 8PM?

The public loo upstairs by the comedy club are quite useful and open early AM if needed.

Not to noisey at all. We slept well.

i have never fathomed a way of using them, once I saw a man using one the harbour launch came took one look said you cant use that and switched it off no explanation !!!!

There definitely are electric points, particularly on the main walkway, I didn't try them either. We stayed overnight in December, not too noisy, in fact the only noise of any note was from another boat! We shall be doing it again no doubt. Would be very interested to find out what the offical story is with them.

I've never found the public toilets, where are they then?

There was power last autum on some of the points nearer the gate but CHA was talking about taking them all out this winter,

so could be power for a while yet then.

Town quay pontoons were free of charge!

When I visited Waterford harbour last August the first 24 hours on the town quay pontoons were free of charge!... which is the case in many palces around the world I am told... come on Cardiff lets get it together. Tony

would be nice!!!However slight thread drift but the Town quay in GT Yarmouth now charge £70 !!!!!over night for a 30 foot boat Unless your planning to go under the bridge on to the broads , then you can wait for an hr or two till the bridge opens for nothing .

The loo, is up the stairs (indoors) as if you are going to the comedy club.

Walk up the street along side "Salt" and the entrance is the doors on the left, looks like you are walking into an office block or shopping mall.

Will explain further if I see you at Portishead Marina.

I think I know where you mean, I recall standing outside somewhere just up from Salt where there was some posters up and eventually realising it must be a comedy club. They are well hidden then, probably don't want the general public finding them!

They certainly aren't sign posted, but as far as I cn gather they are the only public loos in the area

Cardiff is a rip off but another forumite and i have a cunning plan to get around the stupid fees (without breaking the law)
At least the seagull speakers have stopped!
No real facilities apart from the pontoon which in its self is an attraction to the public if yachts are there. Only good bit is security for us so for a few quid its not bad really.
