i am a new boy on the block, i have just bought a merry fisher 695 with a inboard volvo penta 31d 150hp . as most of my boaty experience has been sailing yachts . so this is new experience with a big engine .
I am at present servicing my engine , but am finding flushing the coolant difficult i simply cannot understand the method of how you flush the old fluid out . does anyone have any advise ?

Welcome to the forum.

I would remove the low point connection and drain as much as will come out, then ram a hose in and flush as much of the old stuff out as possible, then re-connect refill and run the engine for a few minutes to mix the lower laying fluid. Repeat several times until the drained water runs clear.
