Anyone remember Paul?

I made a visit today to Rochester cruising club and who should I meet but Paul, hes not changed a bit, had a nice chat with him about this and that, hes still got Castaway an ex police boat with some nice 63ps in.

Going to cast my eye over it on my next visit.

How could anyone that had ever met him ever forget:D

Many, many happy memories of the early MBM cruises run by Tom and Paul.

Absolutely. I remember Paul and his boat, Castaway Bay, very well from the MBM cruises we did in the early 1990's. Correct me if I'm wrong but I seem to remember his boat was a Scandinavian make and at the time, it had Mercruisers? I also remember he fell out with MBM when he wrecked a sterndrive on a pot off Hengistbury Point during a MBM cruise and the mag wouldn't help with the repair costs. I'm not sure he was paid anything to do the MBM cruises other than for his fuel.
I also remember that Paul had fairly trenchant views on how females fitted into domestic arrangements. There was one MBM cruise on which a young female journo tagged along and she was berthed on Paul's boat. She jumped ship after a couple of days because she couldn't stand being ordered to do all the cooking and washing up any more!
Happy Days! We learnt a huge amount on MBM cruises and Paul (and Tom) contributed greatly to our learning and enjoyment. I'm glad that Paul is still boating. If you see him again, give him regards from Mike and Suzette. I hope he remembers us

Yes, you are wrong.

Yes, you are wrong.

Normally when somebody says that another person is wrong, he goes on to explain why. What I said was what Paul told me himself. So, if he was wrong, then why?
