There was a Patrick Carr who was one of the five victims of the 1769 Boston Massacre, an event attributed to the sparking off of the American War of Independence. He was a leather worker though but another of of the victims was a sailor. ??

I was at school with

a Patrick Carr, known affectionately as Rosy, because of his peerless complexion. He held, for a time, the school record for eating prunes.
