Hi
I use a RIB on the tidal Thames and usually just bat about coming up as far as Richmond on the flood and return to hammersmith with the ebb.
Similarly we have been the other way down to the Thames barrier and back. Thats the extent of my small boat Thames action - more frequently i just go Chiswich way or to the embankment to have a run out.
Last Sunday i got to Teddington and wondered about trying the non tidal bit.
Whats the score as PLA control the river to this area and Inland waterways thereafter. Does my boat need coding, licenced or painted a funny colour etc to use the non tidal bit.
Ditto me - the skipper?
FWIW on sunday I had one of the best jouneys ever - no rowers at all and one pax vessel. River was empty of used craft. All at Henley making ready?
