passerelle stainless coat hanger shaped thingee

hi all

I am looking for a stainless steel bar which separates the lines keeping the tail end of a passerelle off the jetty.

Usually in the shape of a coat hanger with a central ring to hold the line from the top of the mast and rings at each end for the passerelle lines . I have seen these on many boats but never for sale.

Any advice on where to get one would be appreciated.

You can try bigship.com but I can't work what out what the French for ' stainless hangar for pasarelle' is!

If you search for Osculati 42.770.00 you get hits on lots of sites on the continent with prices ranging from about Euro 45 upwards.

And not nearly as capable of whacking you hard enough on the head to open up a good cut or bruise a toe if dropped on it or clang against twin backstays incessantly!

I was going to offer my Osculati one to the OP but it's on the boat in Greece.

Regarding the French translation. I was looking at the description of a large catamaran for sale in French and put the words into babelfish, the automatic translator.

It made me smile when it translated , "nid de pie inox" (stainless steel crows nest) as "a nest of stainless magpies. . . . . . ..

M ade mine out of scrap/spare teak. Used bungy cord to keep the passerell springy-just off the jetty.
