Evening all,

I am having a bit of difficulty otaining planning planning charts for my intended venture to the Azores next year, could anybody point me in the right direction please?

What you need is an ocean routing chart. They are published by the admiralty and have useful data on wind directions and storm frequency and other things accumulated over many years. Unfortunately there are 12 of them for north atlantic one for each month. So you'll need them for the months you plan to sail. They are available from chart agents in large ports Plymouth, Portsmouth etc. Kelvin Hughes also stock them I believe. Available online from the first 2 links below. The 3rd link is for the Imray equivalent which I'm not familiar with.

Sarabande - It's amazing what we learn whilst sailing the Southern ocean isn't it!
