Passage Plan Advice please

Thanks for all your replies which have been very helpful.
I have picked that particular weekend as it is neap tides. and we would not attempt it at all unless the weather was spot on. In hind sight you are right in that we should make it to Salcolme first then start from there. Just means another day off work and that can't be bad. I would also consider the approach from the north as an alternative should the tide have turned before we got there.

from my experience you can only plan so much..... something will bit you in the bum along the way /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif salcombe is the sensible option for the first crossing...

best of luck and enjoy

St Pete's

So how did it go? Which way did you end up going in? We sailed over in December 2010... Errrr... 2kn through the TSS in the middle of the night as no wind or motor ( prop fouled in middle of west bound TSS ) not fun... But sailing in and around the channel islands is great. Quick hops over to France and back.. We're planning on bringing our boat back in April.
