Having bought a secondhand lorry heater at a boat jumble I need the parts to fit it to my boat. I thought the heater would be the main cost but the price of parts from the Kruger agents are very high(eg exhaust pipe and clamps 150 pounds)
Can anyone advise where one can buy, for a reasonable price, a skin fitting, exhaust pipe and clamps, hot air ducting, Y junction and cabin oulet fitting.
Any help would be appreciated.

Most things you can pick up on ebay, just search for Eberspacher. I've bought ducting, skin fittings and vents from there. Everything was good quality and reasonably priced.

Well I had a D1 which I took off but I still have all the ducting Y pieces etc. I have no idea how much it's worth but I am happy to let you have it at a fair price.

Did the same.

Eberspacher lorry heaters have the thermostat in the cold air intake - so if you mount the heater in an external cockpit locker it will never switch off. Rather than have the expensive mod to fit a cabin thermostat, I just fitted the heater in the cabin and used recirculated air. Obviously the exhaust is through the transom.

I had the exhaust fitting made up as per a post on the forum from Iainsimpson - I think 'squidge' - a forum user - is having some made up at this moment .

I used flexible mild steel tubing from asap, wrapped with fibreglass lagging, for the exhaust

Thanks for the info re.the thermostat. I didn't know that it was on the cold air inlet. However, I think we will just use the heater as and when required on an on off basis. It is only for when we are on a day sail in winter or when overnighting on the Newtown river when there is no shore power. Generally the heater is fitted in the stern locker on our boats to keep the exhaust length under 2 metres which I understand is important.
I am new on this forum. Do I e-mail "squidge" privately to see if he can help with the skin fitting?
