Parts for Volvo Engines at reasonable prices?

>Time belt for my engine keyparts £61.91 parts4engine £22.91
>oil filter keyparts £14.85 oil and fuel filter parts4engine £13.75
Thermostat keyparts £17.47 parts for engine £11.03
Impeller Kit keyparts £26.40 parts for engine total kit including bearings, front cover gasket £20.36

Those prices indicate they are cheap fakes I wouldn't go near them.
I usually use Fleetguard filters from a local motor factor. I was buying some engine mounts off P4E so piggybacked some filters on to the order. They were as cheap as the Fleetguard ones and were genuine Perkns ones! The engine mounts were good quality as were the big end shells and core plugs I bought off them for the pbo article rebuild. Ive been in this diesel rebuild game for a long time and can sniff out a cheap nasty copy, he doesnt do that! Repeating myself, he sources a lot of his stuff from Perkins direct.
Years ago I bought cheap filters off either volspec or keyparts for my previous boat which had a VP 2030, the oil filter is difficult to get as a pattern part, they supplied one, it was an obscure made in America one that I had never heard of.
So before posting stuff perhaps maybe try them out?

Do you really think Volvo make belts or filters?

>Do you really think Volvo make belts or filters?

I don't know where you got that from I didn't say they did, they do make engine parts everything we bought came in a Volvo branded box. Left on our boat when we bought it was a diesel fuel filter I have never heard of, it didn't have a pressure relief valve, buy something cheap at your peril.

no you just suggested that P4E sold cheap fakes part, because there are not in a Volvo package with the marking Volvo at Volvo prices.
by the way
I also have a original Volvo oil filter on my boat , but it doesn't fit my engine.
what do that prove other then I sold the wrong one.

My daughter, who works in the motor industry, gets me oil and fuel filters for our VP2003 at about £5 each, using the part numbers and equivalents. Volvo don't make filters!

There's only so many variations to an oil filter. Mostly it's a case of thread, body dimensions, pressure relief valve and anti-run-back valve/flap.
When people design an engine, they quite often design in something that's already on the shelf.
With a bit of research, you can often buy filters from a trusted manufacturer instead of no-name brands or unbranded items in engine manufacturer's boxes.
