I have been redoing the connection to the Stop Solenoid on the injector pump on my TMD40.

One of the things that made the connection very awkward was this part above and inside the solenoid. It has a plastic cover which was wired with a lead seal to prevent removal. The return fuel line also obstructed access.

I have managed it bit am puzzled to know what is under the plastic cover? Visible between the fuel line and the solenoid.

I did remove it to make life easier and it must be important otherwise why the seal, but whatizzit???

The fuel setting governor screw, the threaded rod inside is set when the pump is set up on a dyno.
DO NOT tamper with it.

Thanks Paul, I felt it must be important, but could not see what it was on the exploded parts drawing.

I have wired the cover back in place with some locking wire.
